The other day my friend and I were invited to check out the new menu at an intimate downtown Toronto lounge Parlour, the place where I had the pleasure of dancing till the wee hours of the night on more occasions than once. Parlour is a lounge that has always lured me in for being a hidden, non main-stream gem that has great deep house music, plus the vibe is also particularly sexy, mysterious, middle-easternish and cozy, with deep red velvet seating, vintage decor theme, chandeliers, exposed brick wall behind the bars. This place would really feel like a hideaway and a breath of fresh air for an experienced, been everywhere socialite like myself, so I kept coming back. It used be a place where you walk in around 10 PM, you socialize, you have a glass of wine and you dance if you feel like it.
Now it is also a place to have some delicious and healthy bites while catching up with friends over cocktails. They just launched their menu two weeks ago and now the place is open to the public from 5:30 PM onwards. The share plates we got were indeed heavenly, portions sizes were just perfect, big enough to slowly indulge but not enough to overeat and call it night. We loved the steak tartar and the flatbread made with kovbasa was really something! I was truly impressed and cannot wait to go back there again and again, and so should you!
